 Prompt response: I remember a time when I paused to appreciate the beauty of nature. A few months ago, I went to this park in South Carolina to hike. As I approached a waterfall, I paused, and I appreciated the beauty of the nature. The moment of stillness made me fond of the nature surrounding the waterfall.

Summary: Today, we worked on a one-pager for Robert Frost's poetry.

Reflection: I learned that expressing things on a one-pager can help me make sure I know the content. I will use the knowledge to be able to make more one-pagers.

  Prompt response:  I've adapted to the demands of this course over the past week in a few ways. One way is that I know now to get in the habit of writing blog posts every day there is class. One strength I anticipate is that when there is a story that covers a topic I am mainly interested in, I tend to be a great reader there, as I have before.   Prompt response:  There was a time when someone's words had a lasting impact on me. There was this teacher that I had two years ago that once said, "You didn't wake up today to be mediocre." It had a lasting impact as it motivated me to not be just mediocre. Summary:  Today, we continued on writing an argument paragraph on "Ambush" by Tim Obrien, as well as we learned about formal and informal language. Reflection:  I learned how to make an argument paragraph. I might use this knowledge to easily create more argument paragraphs.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

  Prompt response:  I don't have much experience with relationships, but I can recall a few situations where I felt jealous of my friends. Often, I get a jealous feeling when a girl I know is in love with someone else. I am that way because I have never been in a relationship, and I have a desire for me to be in one. Summary:  I was absent from class today, but I heard that there was a group activity on "The Jealous Father," which I did read. Reflection:  I learned that it's not always good to be too jealous that you start to do bad things. I might use this knowledge to make sure I won't do anything bad when I get jealous.
