 Prompt response: There was one presentation that indeed caught my attention. While I don't remember everything from that time, I do remember this one presentation, I forgot who was the one that presented it. But, I do remember that it was presented in a unique way, that it was more of like a video rather than a poster.

Summary: Today, the class did presentations.

Reflection: I learned some unique poems created by my classmates. I might use the knowledge to help make an amazing poem.

  Prompt response:  I've adapted to the demands of this course over the past week in a few ways. One way is that I know now to get in the habit of writing blog posts every day there is class. One strength I anticipate is that when there is a story that covers a topic I am mainly interested in, I tend to be a great reader there, as I have before. On the other hand, one challenge I anticipate this year is that I don't like reading, so I often will procrastinate on assignments in this class like I did before in the 9th and 10th grade Lit classes. Summary:  I was absent again today, but I heard that there was a quiz on origin myths today. Reflection:  I was absent, so I did not do the quiz today.

  Prompt response:  There was a time when someone's words had a lasting impact on me. There was this teacher that I had two years ago that once said, "You didn't wake up today to be mediocre." It had a lasting impact as it motivated me to not be just mediocre. Summary:  Today, we continued on writing an argument paragraph on "Ambush" by Tim Obrien, as well as we learned about formal and informal language. Reflection:  I learned how to make an argument paragraph. I might use this knowledge to easily create more argument paragraphs.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

  Prompt response:  I don't have much experience with relationships, but I can recall a few situations where I felt jealous of my friends. Often, I get a jealous feeling when a girl I know is in love with someone else. I am that way because I have never been in a relationship, and I have a desire for me to be in one. Summary:  I was absent from class today, but I heard that there was a group activity on "The Jealous Father," which I did read. Reflection:  I learned that it's not always good to be too jealous that you start to do bad things. I might use this knowledge to make sure I won't do anything bad when I get jealous.
