Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

 Prompt response: I had a few questions about life. One of them: Why do we see and feel the world like we do now? I often asked myself that question because sometimes when I was idle I started wondering about what existence is. I also wondered if each human perceived the world differently (like seeing colors or hearing noises differently). It's a mystery I wonder because I have no way to see how someone perceives the world in relation to mine.

Summary: Today we started on our own origin myths.

Reflection: I learned that there are many different ways origin myths could be made up. This affected my knowledge because I know now that I could make up more origin myths if I want to.

  Prompt response:  I've adapted to the demands of this course over the past week in a few ways. One way is that I know now to get in the habit of writing blog posts every day there is class. One strength I anticipate is that when there is a story that covers a topic I am mainly interested in, I tend to be a great reader there, as I have before. On the other hand, one challenge I anticipate this year is that I don't like reading, so I often will procrastinate on assignments in this class like I did before in the 9th and 10th grade Lit classes.   Prompt response:  There was a time when someone's words had a lasting impact on me. There was this teacher that I had two years ago that once said, "You didn't wake up today to be mediocre." It had a lasting impact as it motivated me to not be just mediocre. Summary:  Today, we continued on writing an argument paragraph on "Ambush" by Tim Obrien, as well as we learned about formal and informal language. Reflection:  I learned how to make an argument paragraph. I might use this knowledge to easily create more argument paragraphs.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

  Prompt response:  I don't have much experience with relationships, but I can recall a few situations where I felt jealous of my friends. Often, I get a jealous feeling when a girl I know is in love with someone else. I am that way because I have never been in a relationship, and I have a desire for me to be in one. Summary:  I was absent from class today, but I heard that there was a group activity on "The Jealous Father," which I did read. Reflection:  I learned that it's not always good to be too jealous that you start to do bad things. I might use this knowledge to make sure I won't do anything bad when I get jealous.
